4D life

We experience life in four dimensions.

But probably not the four dimensions that you expected me to mention:

1. Everything that you consider to be human and material - friends, family, strangers on the street.
2. Everything that you consider to be human and non-material - fears, feelings, ideas.
3. Everything that you consider to be material (but non-human) - physical objects, animals, plants.
4. Everything that you consider to be non-human and non-material - the laws of nature, the future, the origin before the origin.

There aren't strong boundaries between the four, but what you decide "lives" in each of these dimensions and how you experience each dimension defines your life. Too much focus on just one at the expense of the others can lead to a life not worth living.

Try to stop once in a while and be conscious about how you are moving through those four dimensions in your life.

(By the way, I think that the biggest privilege (and weight) of being a natural scientist is that many people give us the benefit of the doubt to advise them on what to include in their dimension of material non-humans.)
