In the relationship between science and spirituality, there is always the tension of to what extent one needs the other. At least not in the abstract, but in practice, for someone specific.

I think it is a matter of to what extent one wants to have a broad vision of reality. In the most simplified aspect, one is devoted to inner reality, the other to outer reality.

As Carl Sagan said, "Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality."
